DPP is seeking a Data Analyst for an opportunity in Columbia, SC.

Candidates must be eligible to earn a public trust security clearance. Summary: Analyzes data for creation of statistical reports used for program or process evaluation. Responsible for maintaining databases and extracting data for analysis. Runs and reviews reports, analyzing

results in support of operational functions. Partially onsite; local candidates. Top skills: MS Excel (advanced) Data source links Data models Pivot tables Formulas MS Access Familiar with queries and tables. Preferred IT experience. Able to pull and correlate and analyze various data sources.

Preferred: Familiarity with: Service Now Big Fix Splunk Data Lake Task Scheduling RSA Archer Minimum required work experience: 2 years of research and analysis experience. Preferred work experience: 4 years of research and analysis experience. Job/class description: Reviews, extracts and analyzes data to be used in formulation of procedures, processes and other requirements. Provides reports of relevant activity to be used to identify problematic areas and to provide basis for modification and/or elimination of operations issues. Assists with development of complex analysis and sophisticated data compilation, verification, and interpretations to guide divisional efforts.

Performs focused analyses as needed. Creates data search programs to identify pertinent data needed to provide supporting documentation for system or operational enhancements/changes. Documents reporting procedures so other staff can run ad hoc reports independently. Designs, codes, and maintains complex database programs for the extraction and analysis of data to support financial and operational decisions. Required knowledge, skills, and abilities: Strong organizational, customer service, communications, and analytical skills.

Ability to use complex mathematical calculations. Advanced knowledge of mathematical and statistical concepts. Knowledge of relevant computer support systems. Knowledge of programming languages across various software platforms, using DB2, SQL, and/or relational databases. Ability to analyze data results, determine the source of aberrant statistics, and resolve data issues. Microsoft Office. Knowledge of tools such as Visual Basic and Macros useful in automating reporting processes. Preferred skills and abilities: Computer programming skills.

Negotiation or persuasion skills. Knowledge of ICD9/CPT4 coding. SAS experience. Work environment: Typical office environment. Some travel between buildings and out of town. Required education/equivalencies: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business, Healthcare, or other job-related degree; OR, Associate’s degree in the above or other job-related degree plus 2 years of work-related experience; OR, 4 years of reporting and data analysis experience (total 6 years without a degree) Interested?
