Purpose of Position The Accountant, Senior is a key member of the Accounting team and supports with more complex general accounting functions in accordance with U. S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. This position also collaborates with other departments and supports process improvement initiatives. Tasks and Responsibilities Manage project cost system in SAP-PS (Project System) to ensure the accuracy and auditability of costs, budgets, and approvals. Maintain SAP-PS by assigning and activating project codes and budgets to approved projects, entering related invoices into SAP A/P, and creating project structure templates.

Advise Project Managers on project financial status and assist with budget amendments. Generate monthly and ad hoc financial reporting for Management. Create, improve, and automate financial reporting, processes, and procedures. Reconcile and analyze General Ledger accounts in compliance with regulatory requirements and company-established accounting policies and procedures. Manage underlying data, supporting documentation, and spreadsheet-based calculations to support accounting accuracy and completeness. Perform technical accounting research and provide financial and accounting advice to internal stakeholders.

Manage account reconciliation process by analyzing balance sheet balances, assembling clear support for activity, and providing accurate and concise explanations for variances. Communicate with internal teams on accounting and control matters and recommend solutions. Support process improvement initiatives and share best practices across the department. Participate in special projects as assigned. Minimum Education Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Minimum Experience 4-6 years of relevant experience Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Strong knowledge in U.

S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance Public accounting and/or corporate accounting experience preferred Intermediate or higher level of Microsoft Excel skills or Power BI Experience with SAP-PS, SAP-FI Strong verbal and written presentation skills Strong analytical skills with ability to reconcile data and analyze variances Possesses initiative, confidence, and drive to achieve results without explicit direction or detailed instructions Displayed ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to interact with various levels of management in a professional manner Continuous improvement orientation Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met and/or encountered by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
