Monday - Friday 6: 00 am - 3: 00 pm ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS • Verify Product Ingredients before adding to kettle • Follow the cook directions thoroughly • Assembly of the Kettles, Pumps, and Piping • Document all necessary records • Work safely while lifting and operating equipment • Maintain the cleanliness of the Kettle Room • Designed Partial and non-inventoried racks included.
• Weekly report of short dated items emailed • Keep kitchen and package room stocked with what they need daily. • Eliminate the traffic in the dry goods • Update inventory in Computer • Work with company to save money on shopping material. • Work on Minimum/Max of our products to save room. • Work with production to help coordinate and schedule state product pick up and delivery • Transfers of all product moving between warehouses— finished goods, labels, etc.
Must be completed before product leaves • Be main contact for sample requests. • Ensure all samples are perfect and go out on time JOB RESPONSIBILITIES • Expertise to perform duties while understanding and observing company policies on food safety, product quality and Good Manufacturing Practices • Knowledge of Raw Ingredients and Safety Standards • Must be able to work in production environment that can be slippery and wet with temperature varying from cold to hot. • Must be able to lift 50lbs • Expertise to perform basic reading and math computations needed for following the cooking directions.
• Must have full understanding of the company' s HACCP Plan, GMP' s and SSOP' s. • Must be able to work well with others as a team player. • Ms excel background a must. ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF A PRODUCTION WORKER Record production and test data, such as processing steps, temperature and steam readings, cooking time, batches processed, and test results. Listen for malfunction alarms, and shut down equipment and notify supervisors when necessary. Collect and examine product samples during production to test them for quality, color, content, consistency, viscosity, acidity, or specific gravity.
Observe gauges, dials, and product characteristics, and adjust controls to maintain appropriate temperature, pressure, and flow of ingredients. Read work orders, recipes, or formulas to determine cooking times and temperatures, and ingredient specifications. Clean, wash, and sterilize equipment and cooking area, using water hoses, cleaning or sterilizing solutions, or rinses. Set temperature, pressure, and time controls, and start conveyers, machines, or pumps. Tend or operate and control equipment such as kettles, cookers, vats and tanks, and boilers, to cook ingredients or prepare products for further processing.
Measure or weigh ingredients, using scales or measuring containers. Admit required amounts of water, steam, cooking oils, or compressed air into equipment, such as by opening water valves to cool mixtures to the desired consistency. Remove cooked material or products from equipment. Turn valves or start pumps to add ingredients or drain products from equipment and to transfer products for storage, cooling, or further processing. Notify or signal other workers to operate equipment or when processing is complete.
Place products on conveyors or carts, and monitor product flow. Pour, dump, or load prescribed quantities of ingredients or products into cooking equipment, manually or using a hoist. Activate agitators and paddles to mix or stir ingredients, stopping machines when ingredients are thoroughly mixed. Operate aux machines and equipment, such as grinders, canners, and molding presses, to prepare or further process products.
